Routes 2 Success is a project set up to run activities in schools to encourage pupils to raise their career aspirations and consider the benefits of College and University.

Routes 2 Success works with a selection of S2 pupils in 24 schools across the South East of Scotland.

Teachers and parents play a huge part in the Routes 2 Success process.

Routes 2 Success works with the staff who know the pupils best to help decide who would benefit most from participating in the programme. We rely on the staff in schools to get behind the programme to help show the benefits of taking part to pupils. Pupils who take part in the Routes 2 Success programme will gain knowlege about many aspects of college life – what you can study, what would be expected of them and what kind of people go to college. As well as trying to find out a bit more about themselves, recognising what they’re good at and matching that with what’s on offer at college. As well as delivering the workshops in school Routes 2 Success also run campus visits at 7 college campuses – Stevenson College Edinburgh, Edinburgh’s Telford College, Jewel and Esk College, West Lothian College, Oatridge College, Borders College and Forth Valley College. Pupils and teachers alike get the chance to take part in hands on activities, have a look around the college as well as meeting college staff and students. This provides a truly memorable experience for pupils about college. Have a look on the photos at last year’s events, to get a flavour of what the campus visits are really like.
